Hello! So today was the official day one of the 30 day detox. I have started a blog with my best friend Heidi and Sabrina so there will also be updates there but, I like to be a bit more personal on my own blog =]. So.. Day one.. I'm struggling. Already. I think this is like being an alcoholic and going on detox. My stomach is killing me.. I'm shaky... I'm exhausted and I crave food really bad. But I am sticking with this! I will NOT give into the cravings!!! I am going to do this 30 day detox.. It is going to be a huge struggle but once I finish it, I should be at least 5-10 pounds lighter and a lot happier. And healthier! And it will be easier for me to start a different diet eating more foods but keeping them proportioned and heathy. So I'm ready for this challenge!
This morning I woke up and was excited to start my new journey. I ate an orange and took some vitamins after eating it. About 15 minutes later, I threw it all up. So that was a horrible start to my day. So I decided to eat a banana to settle my stomach. Thankfully that helped.. a lot! So off to school I go and I realize that I didn't grab a water bottle. Luckily, I left an on-the-go cup in Garrett's car and was able to fill it up with water once I got to school. We were doing fashion shoots in the auditorium at school today, and I drank at least five 8. oz cups of water throughout an hour of shooting. It kept me full til lunch.
At lunch I had a "dry" salad. I quote dry because, it's disgusting. So .. a dry salad with dried fruits and some veggies. It was really gross. I don't know if I can do a dry salad throughout the 30 days. At least just a dot of the lowest fat dressing would be great. But I will keep trying this dry salad thing til I absolutely can't stand it any longer! And of course, on top of the salad, I had tons of water to help fill me up.
I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do for supper yet. I'll probably just eat a mixture of fruits and veggies. The detox says to only eat fruit for breakfast, salad for lunch and peanuts/seeds for supper but.. I think like four raspberries, a little bit of broccoli and a few seeds would be okay. And of course... there's always that loads and loads of water =].
So it's been a bit tough.. but I will survive this!! I am about to go do some exercises as soon as I'm done writing this.. and I also plan to do some yoga tonight before I go to bed. I hope that I can lose some weight and stay toned very soon. If I work hard at this, I'm sure I'll lose some weight in no time. Even though the first week will probably be super hard, I'm already feeling healthy on day one. And I'm really happy for that!!! I'll write another update tomorrow!!!
