Day 1

Day one definitely did not get off to a good start. We had a huge snow storm last night so I couldn't go to the grocery store to get the foods I needed to start my 30 day detox because I couldn't get my student loan check to go get the food. So that was really depressing. But then I got money from a client who bought some prints from me in the mail today so I was excited that I could actually go and get the fruits and vegetables and other stuff I need for the detox. But when I went out to clear the car off.. the snow in my drive way was up to my calf and there was no way I was getting out of my driveway. So I was a little bit pissy. I texted my landlord because she told me and my roommates before moving in, that she would clear the driveway during the winter. Well.. it was 4 o'clock and our driveway still wasn't cleared out.

So I text her.. and she doesn't get here until 9pm. then proceeds to tell us that she can't do anything because the cars are in the driveway. Well hello?!!!!  We clearly couldn't get them out because we were stuck in our own driveway!! So that pissed me off a bit. Finally she gave us a shovel and we were able to clear ourselves out... and I was able to make it to the grocery store to get the things I needed to start the detox officially tomorrow. I felt so guilty because I had to eat something today and the only choice I had was Ramen noodles. Which really isn't the healthiest for you but .. there was nothing I could do.

I was really excited with what I got though!! I got some raspberries, blackberries, melon, oranges, apples, lettuce, broccoli, carrots, dry fruit mix to put in my salad, sunflower seeds and vitamins. I got fish oil, which is supposed to be really good for your heart, calcium since I won't be taking in any milk or anything, iron because I have problems with my iron anyway and I'm anemic so that helps with it and women's 1 a day to help with metabolism. I felt like those were a lot of vitamins but I did my research online before I bought them and it is really healthy to take those vitamins when you do this detox. I also found out that they won't mess with the antidepressants I'm taking right now which made me super happy! I am also going to talk to my doctor to make sure I'm doing the right thing and if she has any suggestions for me to help me a long the way.

So tomorrow I will OFFICIALLY start my 30 day detox! I'm so excited to start losing weight and feeling much healthier! Sorry this post is so late, it's been one of those days! Have a happy Thursday everyone!!

PS!! I'm going to start posting new pictures of me throughout my journey everyday to keep me motivated!!! They may not be whole body shots but I should start to see progress in my face =]
